Callalily frontman Kean Cipriano rarely goes out anymore to perform, and it’s something that he misses very much.

Cipriano spoke about how his movements have been limited and how his performances have been affected by the onslaught of the virus, as seen on his Instagram page last Saturday, Jan. 16.

“I rarely go out. Usually pag may bibilhin lang sa grocery or pag may bibilhin na gamut,” he said. (I rarely go out. Usually only when I buy something in the grocery or when I buy medicine.)

“Lumabas lang ako for a few times para sa isang live performance gig at nag wish bus,” he added. (I went out only a few times, for a live performance gig and a stint on Wish Bus.)

When he goes back home after these ventures outside, Cipriano never fails to observe health protocols by washing his hands, taking off his clothes and placing it in the laundry, washing his hands again, then taking a bath.

“Mabuti ng praning I guess. Lalo may mga bata ako na kasama sa bahay,” explained the musician. (It’s better to be paranoid. More so since I have children with me at home.)

Cipriano is also hoping that the pandemic will soon end since it has taken a toll on his career. He is also missing the old ways of performing and interacting with audiences.

“[Mag-iisang] taon na. Feeling ko minsan nababaliw [na ‘ko] to be honest. Hinahanap ng katawan ko [‘yung] live shows,” he said. “Gusto ko na ulit makatugtog ulit sa harap na maraming tao na hindi kailangan naka mask o naka faceshield.”

(It has been a year. I sometimes feel like going crazy, to be honest. My body is yearning to do the live shows. I want to perform again before a lot of people, where there would be no need for masks or face shields.) “Gusto ko lang siguro sabihin na miss na miss ko na kayo,” he said, while reminding fans to always take care and be mindful. (Maybe I just want to say that I miss you so much.)

Cipriano is set to appear in “Good Times with the Good Guys” on Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m., which will be streamed via Facebook.
